Mulit... Level... Marketing... Oh My!

Joy and I did it! We signed up for lack of a better word... a pyramid scheme... scheme sounds negative, so I guess we shall use the term multi-level-marketing... I, for one, have never been a fan and usually shun them... however, I also do have an open mind and will listen to most ideas, or presentations and well, this one sold me and Joy totally! It is with Xango and it is an amazing company! We are doing the Velox portion of the business and have our own home business...now with that being said we have only been doing it for one day, but I can see so much potential with growth and opportunities! I am excited to get our product, which should come this week and I am looking forward to the health benefits that are associated with Xango and Eleviv! If you want additional information check out our website at:

www.gothomas.mymangosteen.com

I am looking forward to doing this and especially because our end result is a desire that Joy can be a stay at home Mom and we can have more freedom to do the things we love to do! So far, from what I have seen, it is not an if... but when... it is going to be a reality...

I really can't believe that we jumped aboard... It is exciting and wonderful! I do think it deserves two Woots!

WOOT WOOT!

Nursing (not the lactating kind)

I have been reminded lately why I love being a nurse so much! I have had some of the most wonderful patients the last couple of weeks, and I watch these brave souls who undergo so much with surgery or illness and how much trust and confidence that they put in their nurses and it makes me very humbled and grateful to be able to care for these people! I am truly impressed with their kindness and politeness and for being so grateful, when in reality it is really me that should be feeling so grateful for them and their trust. I like the platform of where I work to provide extraordinary care! I think that it is a great challenge and gives a lot to think about.
Sometimes it is easy to get jaded or hardened to people's plights, but, to have someone thank you so sincerely for being nice to them and treating them like a human it is truly an eye-opener, I mean, that is just what we do as nurses right? well, apparently this individual felt like not all nurses always treated him like a human, that is pretty sad, so you know what you jaded, old nurses, get out... or fix the jade... we are here to care, so do it... It reminds me of a role I once played in "Seussical the Musical" Horton the Elephant! What a great example of how to treat people... "a person's a person no matter how small", "i meant what I said and I said what I meant, an elephant is faithful 100%" I am grateful to be a nurse, I am proud to be a nurse, and I am here to provide extraordinary care, so if you are not, get out of my way...
and that's how Joel sees it...

stay at home Dad...

that's right, I am a stay at home Dad for 3 days each week, pretty much the beginning of the week... and I love it, even if I feel shunned at the park by all the Mom's, or when I am out on a walk with the kid and the dog, how I feel like other Mom's are looking at me, wondering why I am not at work, perhaps discriminating against me... because I am a male... who knows, probably just my imagination that they cross to the other side of the road, or herd their kids away from me, the kid and the dog... oh well...
I actually really enjoy being able to have the opportunity to be a stay at home Dad, it has given me a great insight into stay at home parents, particularly Mom's, and I raise my hat to you, kudos to you! It is not easy... and that's all I am going to say about that... I look forward to getting back to work near the end of the week while my wife becomes a stay at home Mom pretty much for the end of the week, it is an amazing set up and we are extremely lucky for how it has worked out...
I have become quite the expert on laundry and vacuuming, which is ironic, because when we went to purchase a new washing machine and dryer, the salesman kept referring to my wife when he was telling her how it all worked and kept referring to me and him as "guys" and generalized that we didn't know how to do laundry... well you know what buddy... I am more of a man than you will ever be, I can get loads started, vacuum the living room and start the dishwasher all before the kid is even done with breakfast and I am just a "guy", and look out Mom's because after breakfast and morning nap we are on our way to the park, to mingle and play and talk about how to do laundry... and that's how Joel sees it...

My 1st blog

What exactly is a blog... Wikipedia defined it as:
A blog (a contraction of the term "web log")[1] is a type ofwebsite, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. (http://en.wikipedia.org/
wiki/Blog)

Great! So this is my blog, or web log... I have quite a random mind (for those of you who know me, you know exactly what I mean)... expect the unexpected with me... I got this idea for a blog title from watching Fox's GLEE. Sue Sylvester is one of my favorite characters on the show, she has a spot on the news channel where she just rants and raves about whatever the hell she wants... I think it is a great out for her... and I think this will be a great out for me... at the end she says "and that's how Sue sees it" so this blog will be random, will be silly, serious, irreverent, heartfelt, rants and raves, sarcasm, and hopefully wit and pretty much whatever else I want it to be...
I always thought that a blog had to have a point or a theme, but guess what, although many do, mine won't... it may, but I am not going to hold myself to anything... Maybe I will introduce myself a little more in my next blog, maybe I won't... I will attempt to find out how my mind works, because even I do not know this... the most random, strange, thoughts pop into my head, whether or not I want them to... well, look out internet, here is where I will blog about them... and that's how Joel sees it...
